Pay rate is negotiable based on experience. Duties Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use following aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners and digital X-ray systems. Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Dentrix to accurately document patient information, treatment plans, and medical histories in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures. Provide comprehensive patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions. Support front desk operations by functioning as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow. Maintain infection control standards by adhering to strict protocols for sterilization and aseptic technique. Assist with medical documentation and coding to ensure accurate billing and record-keeping. Collaborate seamlessly with the clinical team in four-handed dentistry to optimize workflow efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with a strong background in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred. Proficiency with Dentrix is essential. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control procedures, dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology is required. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging devices confidently. Certification in X-ray radiation safety and proficiency in chairside assisting techniques are mandatory. Familiarity with medical coding and documentation practices related to dental procedures is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient care.
