Overview We are urgently seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team in Jacksonville Beach. Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during various procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, maintaining strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging systems such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners. Manage patient records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Gather vital signs and medical history information from patients to support comprehensive treatment planning. Provide excellent dental reception services by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and managing patient inquiries. Support four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and comfort during procedures. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to ensure precise communication and documentation. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; experience with medical records management is preferred. Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience supporting pediatric dentistry and working with children is highly desirable. Certification in dental assisting or related field is preferred; ongoing training in dental assisting techniques is encouraged.
