This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, patient assessment, and effective communication skills to educate patients on oral health. *Responsibilities* - Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical records and taking vital signs. - Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth using appropriate aseptic techniques. - Utilize medical imaging tools to capture X-rays and other diagnostic images as needed. - Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatment plans in Oryx - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits. - Assist in pediatric dental care, ensuring a positive experience for younger patients. - Review documentation for accuracy and completeness before submitting patient records. - Collaborate with dentists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. *Qualifications* - Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice. - Proficiency in using dental software such as Oryx is preferred. - Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. - Experience with medical imaging technology is a plus. - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages. - Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism. - Previous experience in pediatrics is advantageous but not required.
