New, creative, and out of the box ideas are always welcome, and encouraged to help grow our vision and improve patient care. Applicants should have a minimum of 1-year dental assisting experience. Should be x-ray certified and maintain CPR certification. Sedation certification and EFDA are a bonus. The ideal candidate will be willing to help in any area of the practice when necessary and willing to learn new procedures and new, innovative ways of doing things. Prior knowledge of Dentrix and general dentistry is a plus, but not required as the team will be receiving training prior to opening. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, implants, sedation, and pediatric treatments using chairside assisting techniques. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic techniques are strictly followed. Take dental X-rays and medical imaging such as 3D scans, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are adhered to. Manage patient records accurately within Dentrix while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote optimal health outcomes. Monitor vital signs and assist with documentation for patients requiring dental records updates. Support infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments and maintaining a clean clinical environment in accordance with OSHA standards. Collaborate with the dental team in highly streamline dentistry to improve efficiency and patient comfort during procedures. Handle administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing dental receptionist tasks, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices. Proficiency in Dentrix familiarity with medical coding and documentation is a plus. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately while adhering to radiation safety standards. Experience assisting with pediatric dentistry procedures is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with all ages is advantageous for supporting diverse patient needs. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and support the dental team. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred; ongoing education in dental assisting techniques is encouraged.
