Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Hillsborough, NJ
Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where you will assist dentists during procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain the highest standards of infection control and medical documentation. Xray license is required. Office Hours: Mon 9-3, Tue and Thur 10-7, Wed and Fri 7-2 Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary supplies. Assist dentists during various procedures. Take dental X-rays, including 3D scans. Manage patient records using Dentrix. Support administrative tasks such as greeting patients, scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist, and managing medical documentation and records efficiently. Monitor vital signs and medical history to ensure patient safety before procedures. Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following infection control standards and anatomy knowledge to prevent cross-contamination. Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic or general dentistry practice is highly preferred. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations . Hands-on experience with X-ray imaging. Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and medical terminology. Experience with infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and maintaining sterile environments is crucial for patient safety.
