Surgical Dental Assistant - Perio office - San Leandro Perio - San Leandro, CA

We are a well-established periodontal practice seeking a motivated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA) to join our team full time as a Surgical Dental Assistant. This role is ideal for an energetic, compassionate professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced surgical environment and takes pride in delivering excellent patient care. Our office is a fully digital practice utilizing advanced technology including digital charts and radiographs, Cone Beam CT, and Trios intraoral scanning. Experience with Eaglesoft and Panda Perio is a plus but not required. Responsibilities Assist the periodontist with surgical procedures including implants, grafts, and periodontal surgeries Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques Take 2D/3D dental radiographs and assist with intraoral scanning Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments using strict infection control protocols Maintain accurate patient records Review medical histories and monitor vital signs when necessary Educate patients on post-operative care Assist with occasional front office duties such as scheduling and patient coordination Requirements RDA or DA experience (periodontal or surgical experience preferred) X-ray certification required Strong knowledge of dental terminology, infection control, and sterilization protocols Ability to multitask and work well in a team environment Spanish speaking is a plus Schedule Full-time (no weekends) Mon–Thurs: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Fri: 7:00 AM – 2:30 PM If you feel you would be a great fit for our team, please email your resume and two references .
