We are looking for a dental assistant with a great personality and a passion for dentistry! We are seeking a candidate with dental assisting training or experience. We have the latest in technology including a digital scanner, portable X-ray unit, and CT scanner. We love our patients and believe they deserve the best dentistry we can provide! Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8-5 Thursday 12-7 Every other Friday 9-2 ** Part-time flexibility if needed Responsibilities Prepare customers for treatment ensuring their comfort and escort them to checkout desk following treatment Review treatment with patients and accurately answer questions about treatment Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed for treatment Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Schedule appointments Maintain accurate patient medical history and update records as needed Skills Proven experience as dental assistant or training in a dental assisting program Knowledge of dental instruments, set-ups, procedures and sterilization methods X-ray certification Dental surgical experience preferred Trios scanning experience preferred Basic computer skills; Dentrix experience a plus! Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; In office dental assisting experience or graduation from a dental assisting school program Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. CDA/EFDA) Pay based on experience Performance Based Bonuses Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $21.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) matching Continuing education credits Dental insurance Paid time off Uniform allowance Work Location: In person
