Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team two days a week. In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care by performing professional dental hygiene services, supporting overall patient health, and assisting in creating a welcoming, comfortable environment. Your expertise will help ensure our patients receive top-quality preventive care and education, promoting healthy smiles in a friendly and efficient setting. Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup Assist with medical imaging procedures like X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history and current oral health status to tailor treatment plans Support pediatric dentistry procedures with gentle chairside assistance tailored for young patients Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment Document all patient interactions accurately with Dentrix Ascend, including treatment notes and medical records review Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice Experience working in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred Proficiency with Dentrix Ascend is highly desirable Proficiency with I-Tero Scan is highly desirable Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and HIPAA regulations Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation review processes Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medical imaging procedures, and patient assessment confidently Familiarity with dental assisting procedures, infection prevention protocols, and aseptic techniques Excellent communication skills to educate patients about oral health and treatment plans Join us to make a meaningful difference in our patientsâ lives through compassionate care and professional excellence.
