Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage the front desk with professionalism, ensuring excellent patient service and phone etiquette. Present treatment to patients with confidence and a thorough understanding of patient's benefits. Review and process medical and dental documentation including care plans, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and medical billing to ensure accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Schedule appointments efficiently using Open Dental platform; coordinate treatment timelines with dental providers. Assist, as needed, with insurance verification, claims submission, and follow-up to facilitate timely reimbursements. Maintain accurate dental records and medical files while managing electronic health information through various EHR systems. Managing multi-line phone systems to keep the office running smoothly. Educate patients on treatment options, financial policies, and insurance procedures to promote understanding and satisfaction. Collaborate with the dental team to review documentation for completeness and accuracy; ensure compliance with HIPAA standards. Experience Prior experience in a dental office is required. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical billing processes. Proficiency with Open Dental is advantageous. Demonstrated ability in insurance verification, claims processing, and medical administrative support. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; typing speed of at least 10 keys per second preferred. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette in handling patient inquiries and scheduling. Experience working in a busy dental clinic or hospital environment enhances your ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple priorities efficiently.
