Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. Our current hygienist is retiring after many, many years of wonderful service. We focus on providing comprehensive dental hygiene services, educating patients on oral health practices, and supporting the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your passion for patient well-being and attention to detail will help create a positive, comfortable environment for every individual who walks through our doors. We deliver this through 1 hour prophies and dedicated new patient time. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative setting dedicated to excellence in general and pediatric dentistry. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow and patient comfort Review and update medical records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Support pediatric dentistry cases by adapting communication styles and treatment approaches suitable for children Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a general dental setting Familiarity with dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation review processes Knowledge of infection control standards, sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing patient records effectively Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dental health and medical imaging procedures Prior experience with dental assisting duties, including chairside support during various procedures Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs compassionately and professionally Join us in making a difference through exceptional dental care!
