As a key member of our dental practice, you will utilize your expertise to perform thorough cleanings, assessments, and patient education, ensuring every individual receives compassionate and comprehensive care. Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and vital signs to ensure safety during procedures Assist with chairside procedures, including providing support during restorative treatments and examinations Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Follow infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment at all times Requirements Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for documentation and records management Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical coding, and medical terminology Ability to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently alongside the dentist for improved workflow Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and documentation review processes Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures Experience with vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and pediatrics is highly desirable Join us in making a difference through dedicated patient care!
