Smilewise Dentistry of South Miami is seeking a Full Time dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies. Assist the dentist during various procedures, including exams, fillings, extractions, root canals, and surgeries. Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment according to OSHA and CDC guidelines. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays). Educate patients about oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive practices. Maintain accurate patient records and update charts with treatment information. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently. Ensure patients feel comfortable and address any questions or concerns they may have. Support the front desk with administrative tasks as needed, such as answering phone calls and confirming appointments. Requirements Registered dental assistant High school diploma or equivalent required Bilingual in English and Spanish is required. Experience working in a dental office. Strong communication skills. Proficient in using dental software and technology Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and multitask effectively. Knowledge of infection control protocols and dental terminology.
