Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position involves assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient records, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. A strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, along with experience in pediatric dentistry, is highly desirable. Hours Tuesday, Thursday, Friday ( 9am to 5pm), and Every other Saturday(from 9 to 2) Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including medical documentation and coding Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols Monitor vital signs and assist in medical imaging when required Support pediatric patients with a gentle approach to create a comfortable experience Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques is essential Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Epic or Dentrix is advantageous Experience in general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, or pediatrics will be considered a plus Knowledge of medical records management and medical coding is beneficial Join our team to make a difference in the lives of our patients while advancing your career in the dental field!
