Part-Time Dental Assistant – General Dental Office located in Bloomfield, NJ Scheduled hours needed: Tuesdays 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM Thursdays 9 AM – 6 PM Fridays 7 AM – 2 PM About us: We are a multi provider, patient-focused family dental practice in Bloomfield seeking a reliable part-time dental assistant to join our team. You will provide assistance to the dentist during exams and procedures and be responsible for stocking and maintaining operatories. An ideal candidate will have some experience as an assistant or be open to training. Responsibilities: · Assist dentist during exams and procedures (prep, suction, retraction, scanning, and charting.) · Take dental x-rays (Must hold or are in the process of obtaining a NJ Dental X-Ray License.) · Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment and make sure they are available to the dentist for exams and procedures. · Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies. · Maintain operatory cleanliness and be sure all are stocked with supplies. · Welcome patients into the treatment area, make them feel comfortable, discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions. · Schedule appointments. Required Qualifications: · Valid NJ Dental X-Ray License or in the process of obtaining one. · Some dental assistant experience in a general practice (preferred but not required) · Familiarity with infection control and sterilization protocols · Strong chairside skills and patient communication · Reliable, punctual, team-oriented, and professional · CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain Compensation: · Competitive hourly rate based on experience.
