Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Wantage, NJ
We are currently seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team. We are a small general dentistry practice with over 20 years of business, and we are committed to providing top-quality dental care in a friendly and comfortable environment. Responsibilities Welcome patients in the operatories Prepare rooms for the doctors, and prepare patients for treatments Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Turn over rooms in a timely manner Keeping the Doctor on schedule Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental operatory clean and well-stocked Skills MUST HAVE: VALID NJ RADIOLOGY LICENSE MAJOR PLUS: REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT/EXPANDED FUNCTION Proven experience as dental assistant Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus Good computer skills & ability to work with patients of all ages Excellent communication & people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable with a great attitude. Must be punctual. Must have reliable transportation.
