Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our team oriented dental team. In this role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring smooth patient flow and delivering high-quality dental care. Duties Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including restorations & extractions. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and maintained according to aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Take and develop digital dental radiographs (X-rays), while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Utilizing electronic medical record systems such as Patterson Imaging and Softdent. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and treatment plans using clear dental terminology suitable for all ages. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, following infection control protocols and ensuring compliance with OSHA standards. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phone, filing charts and assisting the dental receptionist as needed. Monitoring Nitrous Oxide during procedures. Experience Prior experience working as a Dental Assistant or RDA in a pediatric dentistry setting is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology enhances communication with patients and team members. Familiarity with X-ray procedures, scanning equipment and infection control practices is required. Experience performing chairside assisting during various procedures such as extractions and other restorative treatments is advantageous. Ability to demonstrate aseptic techniques, proper use of dental instruments, and infection prevention measures consistently. Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent credential is necessary to qualify for this role. In addition, certification in Nitrous Oxide Monitoring.
