About us We are a dental practice with a relaxed, collaborative environment, looking for a dental assistant to help with chair side procedures. We pride ourselves on doing excellent work and taking our patients' dental health seriously. One year of dental assisting is required and a Dental Assistant 2 is preferred. The hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 7:30 am - 5:30 pm and Thursday 7:30 am - 3:00 pm. If you have previously applied and are interested at this time, please apply again. Greeting patients Helping with infection control and sterilization Assisting dentist with fillings, crowns, extractions, emergencies, and other procedures as needed Assisting dental hygienist when needed Recording information in patient records Collecting medical and dental histories Exposing dental x-rays Maintaining dental equipment Providing instructions and education to patients Helping with inventory Fabricating temporary restorations Denture adjustments Taking impressions Keeping the area clean and well maintained Other duties as assigned Qualifications At least on year of chair side assisting experience Proficiency in dental terminology Knowledge of general dentistry procedures Familiarity with aseptic technique and anatomy Experience in dental extractions Ability to work with EMR systems and maintain HIPAA compliance Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and dental team Certified to take dental radiographs CPR certified Must agree to a background check prior to employment offer Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Employee discount Free parking Health insurance On-the-job training Paid time off Paid training Uniform allowance Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Preferred) Work Location: In person
