Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Arden, NC
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our NEW dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role building and supporting our dental team as well as ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide exceptional patient care. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit. Monitor vital signs of patients before, during, and after procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling medical coding as required. Utilize curve software for patient management and record keeping. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a high standard of care is maintained. Ordering supplies Skills Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques to assist the dentist effectively. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding practices related to dental procedures. Experience with implants placement is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with systems for managing and ordering dental supplies. Ability to take accurate vital signs and respond appropriately to patient needs. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Flexibility Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
