Dental Hygienist Location: Port Jefferson, NY 11777 Pay Range: $48–$55/hour Position Overview We are seeking a Dental Hygienist to join a modern dental practice focused on quality care and a concierge-level patient experience. This role supports one-hour recall appointments, detailed documentation, and strong patient education. Hygienists also have opportunities for professional growth through a Hygiene Executive Committee that supports and leads the hygiene team. Schedule: Monday: 9:00am – 6:00pm Tuesday: 9:00am – 7:00pm Thursday: 9:00am – 6:00pm Friday: 8:00am – 3:00pm Saturday: 8:00am – 1:00pm Additional Scheduling Notes: Flexible for full-time or part-time days Responsibilities: Provide concierge-level care with exceptional chairside manner while building trust with patients. Enhance oral health by identifying signs of periodontal disease and potential oral cancers. Thoroughly document and review patient medical histories and chief complaints. Take x-rays and intraoral images to support treatment planning and monitor progress/changes. Perform precise oral hygiene procedures aligned with treatment plans prescribed by the attending Dentist. Respond appropriately to sudden adverse developments during patient treatment and implement emergency measures when needed. Provide clear instructions for at-home care and ongoing oral health maintenance. Qualifications: Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in New York. Current CPR/BLS certification. Strong working knowledge of comprehensive dentistry, including hygiene procedures, patient screening, and meticulous documentation.
