Permanent Dental Assistant Job in West Jefferson, NC

We are a fast-paced dental practice seeking a highly motivated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our dentists and support team to provide the highest-quality dental care to our patients. Responsibilities: Assist the dentist before, during, and after dental procedures, including preparing the patient, setting up instruments and materials, and providing appropriate patient support Using all equipment with care and ownership Take dental radiographs (x-rays) Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment Maintain a clean and organized work area Inventory management Prepare patients for treatment by seating them, handing instruments and materials, and providing them with comfort and care Prepare materials for restorations and construct temporary crowns Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care Maintain patient records and manage appointment scheduling Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the practice Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of experience as a dental assistant Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to take radiographs Commitment to continuing education and professional development We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages, as well as opportunities for growth and advancement within the practice.
