Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant II to join our growing team in our private practice! As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, ensuring the comfort of patients - Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures - Take and develop dental x-rays - Perform basic laboratory duties, such as preparing impressions and pouring models - Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment - Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Record patient information, treatment plans, and procedures in electronic health record systems (Eaglesoft) - Take vital signs and perform patient assessments - Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures - Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations Skills: - Dental Assisting: Proficient in assisting dentists with various general practice procedures. - Anatomy Knowledge: Understanding of oral anatomy and dental terminology - Vital Signs: Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs of patients - X-Ray: Skilled in taking and developing dental x-rays - Patient Assessment: Capable of conducting patient assessments prior to treatment - Medical Terminology: Familiarity with medical terms related to dentistry - HIPAA: Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations Qualifications: Radiology and CPR certification Met hours and requirements of a DA2 Pay determined on experience Paid holidays and accrued paid time off If you are a dedicated Dental Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity, we invite you to apply.
