Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and cosmetic dentistry treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic technique standards. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage patient records electronically using Dentrix Acsend, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and well-being. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care instructions, and answer questions related to dental terminology and procedures. Support front desk operations by acting as a dental receptionist when needed, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing medical records efficiently. Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure. Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry. Strong knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge, and HIPAA compliance. Familiarity with systems such as Dentrix; experience Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging devices confidently. Excellent understanding of dental terminology across general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members including dental receptionists and hygienists while providing compassionate patient care.
