Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Melbourne, FL
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team FOR 4-5 DAYS PER WEEK. The Dental Assistant will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide quality dental care to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient care. The higher your skill level determines rate of pay Responsibilities: - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures - Assist the dentist and dental hygienist during procedures - Take and develop dental x-rays - Record patient medical history and vital signs - Perform basic laboratory tasks such as taking impressions and pouring models - Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment - Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited dental assisting program - Current CPR certification - Knowledge of medical records management and electronic health record systems (Eaglesoft) - Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic technique - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail - Ability to work well in a team environment - Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology Benefits: - Competitive salary based on experience - Health insurance coverage options - Retirement plan options - Paid time off for vacation and holidays We are an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce.
