Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, with precision and professionalism Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring an aseptic environment following infection control protocols Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging such as 3D scans to aid in accurate diagnoses and treatment planning Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Support patients by taking vital signs, explaining procedures clearly using dental terminology, and addressing their questions or concerns with empathy Operate electronic health record (EHR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix to document treatment details accurately and efficiently Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering to ensure the clinic is fully stocked for daily operations Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures Familiarity with EMR systems such as Open Dental for managing medical records and documentation Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures Ability to perform chairside assisting confidently during various dental treatments including pediatric dentistry and prosthodontics Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate record keeping Experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging including 3D scanners, and vital signs measurement is highly desirable , same day crowns Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members such as dental receptionists and hygienists Certification in radiography or X-ray safety is preferred; ongoing training in pediatric dentistry or endodontics is a plus Weâre looking for motivated people who want to help deliver great patient care while growing their skills in the exciting world of dentistry.
