Job Title: Dental Front Office Coordinator / Receptionist Role Overview The Front Office Coordinator is the heartbeat of our practice. You are the first and last point of contact for our patients, responsible for ensuring a seamless, professional, and welcoming experience. This role requires a blend of excellent communication skills, administrative efficiency, and a basic understanding of dental procedures and insurance. Key Responsibilities Patient Experience: Greet patients warmly, manage check-in/check-out, and maintain a tidy, professional reception area. Scheduling: Optimize the daily flow by scheduling appointments efficiently to meet production goals while minimizing gaps. Insurance Coordination: Verify insurance coverage, obtain authorizations, and explain benefits to patients in plain English. Financial Management: Collect co-pays and deductibles at the time of service, present treatment plans, and discuss third-party financing (e.g., CareCredit). Record Keeping: Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure all HIPAA-compliant forms are updated. Communication: Manage high-volume phone calls, emails, and patient reminders with a friendly and professional tone. Required Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental office environment. Software Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Eaglesoft (scheduling, charting, and accounts) is required. Knowledge: Deep understanding of dental terminology, ADA codes, and insurance claim processing. Preferred Skills Strong verbal communication skills for sensitive financial conversations. A "team-player" mentality with a focus on providing a high-end patient experience. Experience with digital imaging and 3D scan exports is a plus.
