Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily clinical operations, support the dental team in delivering exceptional patient care, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate chairside assisting during a variety of dental procedures across general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery Manage and train dental assistants to ensure adherence to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and proper use of dental equipment Operate and maintain dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging tools while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Be responsible for taking records such as intraoral scans and/or impressions Oversee the preparation of treatment rooms, sterilization of instruments, and maintenance of a sterile environment following infection control standards Assist with patient intake by taking vital signs, reviewing medical history, and explaining procedures using comprehensive dental terminology Support the front desk team by managing appointment scheduling, verifying insurance details, and handling patient inquiries as a skilled dental receptionist Ensure seamless communication among team members through effective documentation of medical records and coordination of care for pediatric patients Experience Minimum 3 years as a dental assistant. Prefer dental assistant that has had lead assistant experience Familiarity with Opendental and/or Dental intelligence Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical documentation and patient privacy standards Hands-on experience with X-ray procedures, 3D scanning technology, and other medical imaging tools in a dental setting Strong understanding of dental terminology across specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics, pediatrics, and implant procedures Demonstrated ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently using aseptic techniques while maintaining high standards of infection control Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages by explaining procedures clearly using appropriate medical and dental terminology Experience working in oral surgery since we do full mouth rehab and all on 4 procedures Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding dental care!
