Position Summary: Working with Smiles by Delivery means providing care to those who need it most. We are passionate about what we do and the patients we serve. We are looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our mobile teams. We meet daily at the address listed in this post and then depart in teams to care for those in our community who cannot, for various reasons, be seen in a traditional practice setting. What we Offer: Full comprehensive benefits for all full-time employees after 90 days employment - Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K Accrued paid time off after 90 days employment Both part-time and full-time employees receive 40 hours of sick pay annually, after 90 days employment A tiered pay increase plan based on training and skillset An engaging, well trained team to work with and a variety of work and patients daily Supportive leadership team Responsibilities: Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort and understanding of the procedures Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the mobile units and our supplies clean and well-stocked Qualifications : Two years of Dental Assistant experience preferred Proven success as a Dental Assistant required Proficiency in Denticon a plus Must be reliable, work well with others in a fast paced environment, and have good manual dexterity. Must be able to assist in loading and unloading equipment and stay active throughout the day CPR Certification required X-ray certification preferred Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods A working understanding of all health & safety regulations Proficient computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Compassionate and patient Previous experience as a caregiver is a plus A keen attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma required; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA) We are an equal opportunity employer Job Type: Full-time Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Work Location: In person
