Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Assist with chairside procedures such as taking dental radiographs (medical imaging) and applying topical agents Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix Ascend Follow strict infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures Support general dentistry procedures by assisting dentists during examinations and treatments Review documentation for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental office or clinic setting Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control standards Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix preferred Experience with pediatric dentistry and pediatrics is a plus Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques Knowledge of medical coding and documentation review processes for billing purposes Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively Join us to be part of a dynamic team committed to delivering top-quality dental care!
