Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting orthodontists during procedures, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the practice. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with both children and adults. Responsibilities Assist orthodontists during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Take and develop medical imaging, including Pano and Ceph, as needed for patient assessments. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient operations and high-quality patient care. Stay updated on advancements in orthodontic technology and practices. Qualifications Previous experience as an orthodontic assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and orthodontics. Familiarity with OrthoEdge or similar dental practice management systems is a plus. Understanding of general dentistry procedures and orthodontics is beneficial. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
