Choice Dental Center is a reputable general dental practice serving diverse communities across multiple locations, including Chinatown. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, with expertise in chairside support, patient care, and dental procedures. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations, delivering high-quality patient experiences, and supporting our clinical team in various dental treatments. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), including 3D scans, while maintaining patient safety and comfort. Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, managing suction devices, and supporting procedures efficiently. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation when necessary for pediatric or medically compromised patients. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by following infection control standards and sterilization procedures. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed. Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry practices. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with Epic is a plus. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Experience with X-ray techniques, 3D scanners, and medical imaging equipment is preferred. Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently during various dental procedures including pediatric dentistry and prosthodontics. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and team members. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training; CPR certification is desirable.
