Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to support our dental team in delivering high-quality patient care. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and the treatment area to ensure smooth workflow. Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other imaging tools while adhering to infection control and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient safety. Support chairside assisting with procedures across general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Monitor vital signs and medical documentation as needed for patient safety and comprehensive care. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by following infection control protocols and sterilization procedures. Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent service delivery. Qualifications Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting with familiarity in dental assisting procedures. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively. Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security. Strong communication skills suitable for interacting with pediatric patients and their families. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred; ongoing education in pediatric dentistry or related specialties is advantageous.
