Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical history reviews, and evaluating oral health status Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency and comfort Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health Manage medical imaging procedures such as X-rays while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Review and update medical records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Support pediatric dentistry cases by providing gentle, age-appropriate care tailored to childrenâs needs Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state regulations Proven experience with dental office management software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control, and HIPAA compliance standards Experience with pediatric dentistry and chairside assisting preferred but not required Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and documentation review accurately Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach for diverse patient populations including pediatrics Familiarity with medical coding, medical terminology, and maintaining detailed medical records Join us in creating healthier smiles every day!
