Job Summary As a Registered Dental Hygienist in our pediatric office, you will be essential in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring a comfortable environment for our young patients. Job Description includes but is not limited to: 1. Scaling/polishing and taking of x-rays of patients 2. When needed the tear down and set up of exam rooms 3. Going over hygiene instructions with patient and patient's parents 4. Documenting - requires computer competency 5. Skills Proficiency in dental software platforms such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and medical coding standards. Experience or some in pediatric dentistry and pediatrics-specific patient care strategies to accommodate young patients comfortably. Skilled in chairside assisting with a focus on aseptic technique, medical imaging, and managing medical emergencies if needed. Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and recognize signs of medical or dental issues requiring immediate attention. Familiarity with EMR systems for efficient documentation review, data entry, and record keeping. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively while demonstrating professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
