Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant/Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting orthodontic procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and experience with various dental systems. Responsibilities Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take impressions and utilize 3D scanners for orthodontic models. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups to ensure continuity of care. Collaborate with the dental team to enhance the overall patient experience. Travel To Alamosa, La Junta and Canon City Experience Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or in a similar dental assisting role is preferred. Familiarity with endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dental clinic operations is advantageous. Proficient understanding of medical terminology and dental terminology is essential. Experience with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
