Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current health status to inform treatment plans. Assist with chairside procedures such as taking dental radiographs (medical imaging), applying sealants, and providing post-treatment instructions. Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a sterile environment. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits to foster long-term health habits. Document all procedures accurately in electronic medical records Dentrix, including medical coding and review of documentation for accuracy. Support general dentistry operations by collaborating with dentists and other team members in four-handed dentistry techniques for efficient patient care. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist within a busy dental clinic or office environment. Familiarity with Dentrix for documentation review and record keeping. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control standards, and HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance. Ability to communicate clearly with patients of all ages about treatment procedures and oral health education. Pay: $77.00 per hour Work Location: In person
