Permanent Dental Assistant Job in New Haven, CT
No experience? We are happy to train the right candidate!!! Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated and detail oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for candidates who are starting their dental career and are eager to learn and grow in a supportive, fast-paced environment. Training will be provided for the right candidate. Responsibilities: Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures Prepare and disinfect treatment rooms and instruments Take digital dental X-rays (as permitted by certification) Provide chairside assistance and ensure patient comfort Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care Maintain accurate patient records and charting Sterilize instruments and follow infection control protocols Support daily clinical operations and maintain organization Requirements: X-ray certification (REQUIRED) Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply Willingness to learn and be trained Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and good organizational skills Ability to work in a team-oriented environment Preferred Qualifications: Previous dental assisting experience (a plus, but not required) Familiarity with dental software (Dentrix Ascend is a plus) Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Benefits: On-the-job training and growth opportunities Friendly and supportive team environment Additional Information: This position is ideal for someone looking to start a career in dentistry.
