In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. This job is full-time but we would consider part- time as well. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is in proper working order using aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry by providing chairside support. Take dental X-rays, including 3D scans when necessary, while maintaining strict infection control standards. Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Practiceworks, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collect vital signs and medical history information from patients to support comprehensive medical documentation. Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care, and preventive practices to promote oral health. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical coding for billing purposes, and assisting the dental receptionist with patient check-in/out processes. Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Strong understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Spanish speaking is strongly encouraged.
