Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories to ensure safe treatment planning. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper technique and safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote lifelong dental health. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft. Adhere strictly to infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and safety. Qualifications Valid Missouri licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and medical coding. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively. Experience with pediatric dentistry is a plus, along with knowledge of pediatrics-specific procedures. Join our team where your skills make a difference!
