Duties Assist dentists chairside during various procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining strict aseptic techniques and infection control standards Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans, ensuring proper technique and patient safety Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, ensuring accurate medical documentation and coding Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation for patients with special needs or medical conditions Provide excellent dental receptionist support by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow Maintain clinical supplies, sterilize instruments, and uphold infection control protocols in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to medical records and medical coding as needed Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and infection control procedures is essential Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for scheduling and record management Knowledge of medical terminology and medical records management enhances your effectiveness in this role Certification or training in X-ray techniques and chairside assisting is advantageous Strong understanding of aseptic techniques, infection control standards, and general dentistry procedures is required Embark on a rewarding career where your skills contribute directly to healthier smiles!
