Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are met Take and develop dental X-rays using modern imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and other medical imaging tools Manage patient records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Monitor vital signs and patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and reduce anxiety Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist and updating medical documentation Maintain a sterile environment by following strict infection control protocols and understanding anatomy knowledge for safe procedures Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with familiarity in dental assisting practices Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; experience with medical coding and documentation is a plus Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards Knowledge of pediatric dentistry procedures and experience working with children is highly desirable Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals Certification in chairside assisting or equivalent training; additional certifications in medical imaging or pediatric dentistry are advantageous Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to enhancing oral health through compassionate care and cutting-edge technology.
