MONDAYS 7:30-5PM WEDNESDAYS 7:30-5PM ONE HOUR APPOINTMENTS Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will utilize your expertise in dental hygiene procedures, patient assessment, and infection control to ensure a safe, comfortable, and positive experience for every patient. Your skills in medical imaging, vital signs, and dental terminology will support comprehensive care delivery within a fast-paced general dentistry environment. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote healthy smiles. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, taking vital signs, and evaluating oral health status. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to empower their ongoing health. Maintain accurate medical records, document treatment notes, review documentation for accuracy, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support infection control standards by sterilizing instruments, managing dental supplies, and ensuring the clinicâs adherence to OSHA guidelines. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Proficiency in dental office software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation and record management. Experience in pediatric dentistry is highly desirable; familiarity with pediatric-specific procedures is a plus. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices. Skilled in chairside assisting techniques, including taking vital signs and supporting the dentist during procedures. Knowledge of EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for efficient documentation review and data entry. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with diverse patient populations.
