Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote lifelong dental health. Operate dental equipment such as medical imaging devices, intraoral cameras, and digital radiography systems following aseptic techniques. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, including charting in Dentrix Ascend. Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information and ensure a sterile environment. Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license with current state licensure and certification. Proven experience in dental office settings Proficiency in dental terminology, medical coding, and medical terminology for accurate documentation. Familiarity with Dentrix Ascend for efficient recordkeeping. Strong knowledge of infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, anatomy, and dental assisting practices. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs thoroughly and communicate effectively. Ability to work independently for two days each week while maintaining high standards of professionalism and attention to detail.
