Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant at our McKinney location! Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Take and develop X-ray images, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort while adhering to HIPAA regulations for medical documentation and records Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical histories, and recording vital signs accurately in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are ready for each procedure Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care, and oral health best practices to promote ongoing wellness Maintain infection control protocols and ensure all equipment complies with health standards, including 3D scanner operation when applicable Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with familiarity in dental assisting procedures and terminology Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic is a plus Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to take accurate X-ray images and operate medical imaging devices including 3D scanners Strong understanding of anatomy, dental terminology, and medical documentation standards Experience working in pediatric dentistry or general dentistry environments preferred Certification in CPR/BLS; additional certifications in pediatrics or endodontics are advantageous Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering top-tier dental care!
