Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Plano, TX
Duties: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments - Take and develop dental x-rays - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history - Enter patient information into the electronic health record system (Epic) - Assist with medical coding and documentation - Use computer-aided design (CAD) software for creating dental prosthetics - Maintain and update patient medical records - Provide support in pediatric dental procedures Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of a dental assistant training program or relevant experience - X-ray certification (if required by state regulations) - Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments - Familiarity with electronic health record systems (Epic experience preferred) - Proficient in medical coding and documentation practices - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work well in a team environment -AT LEAST 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE Please note that this is a general outline of duties and qualifications for a Dental Assistant position.
