As a nonprofit clinic of Catholic Charities Maine, JADOC has served the Bath community for more than 40 years, welcoming children, adults, and vulnerable Mainers with compassionate, patient-centered care. We now have an opening for a Full-Time Dental Assistant working a consistent four-day schedule, Monday-Thursday, 7:30AM-4:00PM. What Youâll Do: Support Dentists during patient care and treatment. Welcome patients, review medications, take and record vital signs. Prepare and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment, while following clinical sterilization practices and safety procedures as indicated by OSHA. Provide oral health education, nutrition guidance, and patient support as needed. Assist with clinical tasks such as retracting, irrigating, aspirating, taking impressions, and helping patients understand how to place and remove removable prostheses, appliances, and retainers. Qualifications : Will enjoy working with children and adults in a fast-paced environment and have good people, organizational, and lab skills. Must have good fine motor skills and dexterity. Must be a team player. Must have a minimum of a high school diploma. Preference will be given to candidates with a Maine certification in Radiography. Experience in a dental office is preferred, but exceptions can be made for the right candidate that shows excellent didactic and clinical skills. Experience with Dentrix and/or Dolphin a plus!
