Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and assist with patient intake processes using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Schedule appointments efficiently, manage multi-line phone systems, and coordinate patient flow to optimize clinic operations Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance claims processing using systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth Collect payments and perform medical collection activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical billing standards Maintain accurate medical records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure proper coding with CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/10 (International Classification of Diseases), and ICD coding standards Support medical office management tasks including filing, data entry, and updating patient information within EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems such as eClinicalWorks or Meditech Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette while managing appointment scheduling, patient inquiries, and follow-up calls with professionalism and care Requirements Prior experience in a dental or medical office environment with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical administrative procedures Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms; experience with Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth is highly desirable Familiarity with HIPAA regulations, medical coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), insurance verification, and Medicare guidelines Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically in both English and bilingual capacities preferred Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), typing accuracy (10 key typing), and familiarity with multi-line phone systems Ability to handle clerical tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational skills for managing patient records, documentation review, filing, and office management duties Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding dental care!
