Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting, with expertise in chairside support, infection control, and patient care. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality dental services while fostering positive patient experiences. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring a clean environment adhering to aseptic techniques. Take digital dental X-rays using advanced imaging equipment such as Pano Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote overall dental health. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation as needed for comprehensive patient assessments. Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and coordinating with the dental reception team to ensure smooth clinic operations. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with proficiency in dental assisting procedures. Knowledge of EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic for efficient medical documentation and record keeping. Familiarity with infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures. Ability to perform dental X-ray procedures safely while maintaining patient comfort. Strong understanding of dental terminology across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties. Experience with medical coding and managing medical records in compliance with HIPAA standards. Excellent communication skills combined with a professional attitude to foster positive patient interactions. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental procedures and the ability to support chairside assisting effectively.
