Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of pediatric dental procedures. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for patient care Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging while maintaining proper aseptic techniques Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times Collect vital signs and medical history information to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning Support infection control protocols by adhering to strict sterilization procedures and maintaining a clean clinical environment Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing medical documentation and coding Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures and pediatric dentistry preferred Proficiency with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding to accurately document treatments Hands-on experience with dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting Knowledge of EMR systems for managing electronic health records effectively Understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, anatomy knowledge related to oral structures, and proper use of X-ray equipment Ability to communicate clearly with patients of all ages, especially children in pediatrics, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout their visit Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
