Solea laser used for most dentistry; implants placed, orthodontics, root canals, as well as the typical dentistry performed. You must be experienced and coachable; showing a willingness to learn and assume leadership. Must be able to work as a team player. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and sterilized equipment following infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow through chairside assistance. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray imaging) while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment details. Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions, fostering a positive experience. Support administrative duties such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and coordinating with the dental reception team. Operate advanced dental technology including 3D scanners and medical imaging tools to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain a clean, sterile environment by following infection control standards and proper sterilization procedures for all dental instruments. Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures by applying specialized techniques suitable for children’s comfort and safety. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with children is preferred. Competence in chairside assisting across multiple specialties including prosthodontics and endodontics. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about treatments and oral health care. Certification in CPR or basic life support (BLS) is advantageous; ongoing training in medical coding or HIPAA compliance is a plus.
