Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients. Conduct patient evaluations, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories. Utilize dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for patient documentation and record-keeping. Assist in chairside procedures, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Provide education to patients regarding oral hygiene practices and general dentistry care. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs. Stay current with advancements in dental technology and practices, including medical imaging techniques. Qualifications Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice. Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred, along with knowledge of four-handed dentistry techniques. Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding is essential. Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable. Proficient understanding of EMR systems for effective documentation review and patient management. Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health and infection control measures. Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members alike.
